Magic Mushroom Soup | Shroom Recipes

Soup is good for chilly days, but magic mushrooms are great for any day. Making magic mushroom soup should sound appetizing for someone who likes their mushrooms with something savoury and warm. It may sound complicated, but making one is just like cooking any other kind of soup.

To be more specific, one can turn any type of soup into magic, with psychedelic properties just enough to improve your mood and state of mind. Here are some of the best recipes:

Preparing the Magic Mushroom

Any species of psychedelic mushroom can be used for any of the recipes. The great thing about soup is that people can use fresh or dried ones. It’s important to know if you’d like to microdose your shrooms or raise the dosage to make each serving trip-inducing.

If using fresh mushrooms, cleaning them with a wet paper towel is the first step. It is never recommended to wash or soak them in water. They can be chopped or added as a whole. To make powdered magic mushrooms, dry them and use a coffee grinder to grind them until fine.

A Simple Magic Mushroom Soup

Start preparing the ingredients for this recipe.

Step 1. Prepare diced onions, chopped thyme, minced garlic, three tablespoons of tamari, ground black pepper, 480 ml. of vegetable broth, fresh lemon juice, and salt.

Step 2. Sautee the herbs and spices, starting with the garlic, onion, and thyme in olive oil over low fire until they are thoroughly cooked. The onions should be translucent and soft.

Step 3. Add the tamari and season with black pepper and saute everything again for another 10 minutes. Let the flavour of each ingredient mix together.

Step 4. Turn off the fire and transfer the soup to a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer to a bowl and season with salt.

Step 5. The magic mushroom is incorporated at the last step of the cooking process. Some people do not like putting their shrooms in prolonged heat though there is no scientific evidence supporting this. Mix the fresh mushrooms before placing the soup in the blender. If the powdered mushroom is preferred, use it as a topping or mix it in the soup using a spoon. The mushroom does not need to cook.

Other Magic Mushroom Recipes

There are so many ways to tweak this simple recipe. Adding cream and milk can make the soup creamy while adding cheese can also enhance the flavour. Those who like to add meat like chicken and beef may do so. After sauteeing the herbs and spices, put the ground meat and let it simmer until the meat is thoroughly cooked. There is no need to blend if adding larger food pieces.

The most important thing is that the magic mushroom can be added directly to the soup without needing time to cook. Because a small amount is required, the taste will not be overwhelming since there are many flavours in the mix.

Magic mushroom is easy to make, but it is nonetheless tasty and satisfying. It is for people who like to take their mushroom with food but do not want to eat heavy meals before going on a trip. The meal is light, still allowing the mushroom to work without delay and decrease its potency.
